OFF-ROAD TRAINING

ORIENTATION CLASS

Objective: To ride away with greater clarity about the workings of your motorcycle’s controls, electronics and other instruments, and a thorough understanding of your own strengths and weaknesses as a novice dual-sport/ADV style rider.

Duration: One day, from 9am to 5pm.

Location: Various locations around Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.

Includes: Lunch (catered or restaurant).

Pre-requisite: A valid endorsement on your driver’s license for riding a motorcycle.

Overview: This one-day training class is intended for riders who have just started going down the road towards taking an Adventure Motorcycle onto unpaved surfaces.

INTRO TO ADV RIDING

Objective: To get you riding safely and confidently on most of the unpaved roads that you are likely to encounter on your way towards becoming really proficient at true ADV riding under any circumstances, in all kinds of terrain.

Duration: Two Days, from 9am to 5pm

Location: Various locations around Ventura and Santa  Barbara Counties.

Includes: Lunch each day & Dinner on Saturday (catered or restaurant)

Pre-requisite: A valid endorsement on your driver’s license for riding a motorcycle.
A pair of sturdy, over-the calf ADV or MX boots that offer better than average protection from tip-overs.

Overview: In this two-day class, you will learn all about the differences between safely riding a heavy beast of an ADV Bike off-road, versus zipping around on a Dirt Bike; freeway cruising on a Road Hog; or carving canyons with a Crotch Rocket.

SPECIALTY CLASSES

Objective: To learn about, understand and be able to apply useful skills such as Backcountry First Aid, Navigation, Emergency Mechanics, etc.

Duration: One day, from 9am to 5pm.

Location: Various locations around Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.
